Canistropsis elata is a species in the genus Canistropsis.

Description

The bromeliad is endemic to the Atlantic Forest biome (Mata Atlantica Brasileira) within Rio de Janeiro (state), located in southeastern Brazil.

It is a Critically endangered species.
