Vrioni (Albanian definite form: Vrioni) is a surname. The Vrioni family is an Ottoman family from Vrioni of Berat which was one of the biggest landowners in Albania, most of their lands being in the area around Berat[1] and in the Myzeqe region. They served for several generations as beys of Berat and also held important functions in the Ottoman administration.[2] They are distinguished record in the battles in Egypt against Napoleon, and during the Greek War of Independence.[3]
