Hendrik Mentz DTD (1877–1938)[3] was a South African Party politician and South African Minister of Defence from 19 March 1920 to 29 June 1924.[4]
He served in the Second Boer War.[4] He served in the First World War. The Strike Craft SAS Hendrik Mentz of the South African Navy was named after him.[5]
