Apostolic Subdeacon

Historically, an Apostolic Subeacon was a cardinal deacon who served at a Papal Mass.[1] The Apostolic Deacon performs the role in the Papal Mass that is ordinarily performed by a Subdeacon at a regular Mass.[1]
