Football match
The 1973 FA Trophy Final was the 4th final of the Football Association's cup competition for non-league clubs in the English football league system. The match was contested between Scarborough and Wigan Athletic, and was the first time that no Southern League team had reached the final since the competition began in 1970.[2]
The match was won 2–1 by Scarborough after extra time.
