Personal life

Kiibus was born on 17 January 2003 in Tallinn.[1] She is the sister of Estonian rapper nublu.[2]

Career

Early years

Kiibus began learning to skate in 2007.[3] She competed in the advanced novice ranks in the 2015–2016 season and made her junior international debut the following season.

2018–2019 season

In September 2018, Kiibus debuted on both the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and the senior-level ISU Challenger Series. In December, she won silver at Estonia's senior championships, finishing second to Gerli Liinamäe. She became the national junior champion the following month. In February 2019, she won gold in the senior ladies' category at the Tallink Hotels Cup.

In March, Kiibus appeared at her first ISU Championship – the 2019 World Junior Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. Ranked 26th in the short program, she did not advance to the final segment. Later that month, she competed at the 2019 World Championships in Saitama, Japan. She qualified to the final segment by placing 23rd in the short program.

2019–2020 season

Kiibus at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics

That season Eva-Lotta Kiibus continued competing on both senior and junior levels. In the ISU Junior Grand Prix series, she placed seventh in Russia, Chelyabinsk and eighth in Egna, Italy. In Egna, she won third place after the short program, but hadn't done all the planned content in the free program.

On senior level, in the first half of the season she took part in three ISU Challenger Series events. In the end of September, she finished sixth at the Nebelhorn Trophy. In October, she confirmed her achievement, placing sixth at the Finlandia Trophy event, where she also got her personal best score in the short program. Golden Spin of Zagreb held in Croatia in December turned out less successful for her, as far as her final result was 11th place.

In December, Kiibus became the Estonian senior national champion.

She made an unsuccessful performance at the Youth Olympics, ranked 14th.

In the end of January, Kiibus made her debut at the European Championships. She made a few little mistakes in her short program, placing 11th, although a clean free program performance (ranked fifth from 24 competitors qualified) allowed her to get overall seventh place. She got her season's best scores in free program and overall score in that competition.
