She also acted in the film as the mother of R. Muthuraman's character. Sumithra made her acting debut in this film, portraying a prostitute.[2] Her character was named Sita, after the character of the same name from the Hindu epic Ramayana.[3] M. R. R. Vasu portrayed Sita's pimp.[1] The film had cinematography by Manohar, and it was edited by M. Umanath. Shooting took place at Vikram and Vasu Studios.[2]
