Elieser Alexis Hernández (born May 3, 1995) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Career

Houston Astros

Hernández signed with the Houston Astros as an international free agent on May 31, 2012.[1] He played in the Houston organization from 2012 through 2017. During his time with them, he played for the DSL Astros, Gulf Coast Astros, Greeneville Astros, Tri City ValleyCats, Quad Cities River Bandits, Lancaster JetHawks, and the Buies Creek Astros.[1]

Miami Marlins

The Marlins selected him from the Houston Astros organization in the 2017 Rule 5 draft.[2] He began the 2018 season on the disabled list with Miami and was activated on May 10.[3] He rehabbed with the Jupiter Hammerheads, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and the New Orleans Baby Cakes in 2019. He finished his rookie season going 2–7 with a 5.21 ERA in 65.2 innings.[1]
