Thyagi (transl. Martyr) is a 1982 Indian Tamil language film, directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by G. Hanumantharao. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sujatha, Major Sundarrajan and V. S. Raghavan in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan.[1][2] It is a remake of the 1981 Kannada film Antha.

Controversy

The film was initially denied a censor certificate. One of the censor board members claimed that makers of the film had retained the scenes which was deleted in the original Kannada film.[4]
