Kyle Douglas Hawkins (born May 6, 1980) is the current Solicitor General of Texas appointed by the Attorney General of Texas in September 2018 after the previous Solicitor General resigned.

Early life

Kyle Hawkins graduated from University of Minnesota in 2009 with a Juris Doctor degree. He served as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and for Judge Edith Jones on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He was also the Assistant Solicitor General before serving in his current position.[1][2][3]
