Centerpoint School District (or Centerpoint Public Schools) is a public school district based in Amity, Arkansas, United States. The school district encompasses 209.66 square miles (543.0 km2) of land, including portions of Pike County, Hot Spring County, Garland County, and Clark County and serving communities such as Amity, Glenwood, Bonnerdale, Rosboro and Okolona.

As of 2012 Dan Brashears is the Superintendent of Schools.[2] The district proves comprehensive education for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 and is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE).

History

The Amity School District merged with the Glenwood School District to form the Centerpoint district on July 1, 1995.[3] This included the former Glenwood High School and that Amity, with a new high school campus located at old Rosboro.

Schools

  • Centerpoint High School, located in Amity and serving more than 550 students in grades 6 through 12.
  • Centerpoint Intermediate School, located in Amity and serving approximately 125 students in grades 4 and 5.
  • Centerpoint Primary School, located in Amity and serving approximately 350 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 3.
