"Loving Someone" is a song by English rock band The 1975. It was released on 3 February 2017 as the seventh single off of their sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It.
Live video
On 20 January 2017, shortly after the Inauguration of Donald Trump, Vevo released a live video of the band performing "Loving Someone" from 16 December 2016 at The O2 Arena in London.[3] The video features various displays of the rainbow flag, in solidarity with LGBT pride. When the video was uploaded on their Instagram page, the band tagged U.S. president Donald Trump in the video. During the video, Matty Healy said that "the obvious thing is it is very sad to see not just the young, but young progressive voices of change being drowned out by regressive ideals—it is sad".[3]
Live performances
Following the Orlando nightclub shooting, the band provided rainbow flag visuals at their 13 July 2016 concert in Charlottesville, Virginia.[4]
