Rathnappa Madhesh (also known as R. Madhesh) is an Indian-born Tamil, writer, film director mainly known for his debut Madhurey (2004) and Vijayakanth's 150th film Arasangam (2008).[1]
Career
Madhesh not only a director producer and he distributed many movies including Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002) Which was the debut film of actor Dhanush, director Selvaragavan and Villain (2002).[2]
He started out in Tamil cinema by bankrolling Shankar's Mudhalvan (1999),[3] which turned out to be a blockbuster and was subsequently remade into Bollywood under the title Nayak (2001).[4]
Since, his directorial debut with Vijay in Madhurey (2004),[5] was a box office hit.[6] Madhesh has helmed a handful of movies, notable among which are the crime thriller Arasangam (2008)[7] and the action comedy Mirattal (2012).[8] Besides these, he has also written and directed the 2016 Marathi movie Friends.[9] In 2018, Madhesh directed the Tamil horror thriller Mohini, which starred Trisha Krishnan in the lead role.[10] Currently 2019 he Madhesh writing and directing feature film titled "Sandakari" with Vemal and Shriya Saran. In this film Madhesh finished almost 70 percent of the film in UK London. The production company released the first look poster with Shriya Saran and Vemal which is runaway hit. This film schedule to be released in November 2019 [11] [12]
