The Sims 4: StrangerVille is a game pack for The Sims 4 released on February 26, 2019.[1] The game pack is inspired by Strangetown, a world that appeared in The Sims 2 and Stranger Things, a web series on Netflix.[2]
Unlike Sims 2 console editions, Sims 4 StrangerVille does not lock you into a specific story, but closer to the PC or Mac version of Sims 2, gives a back story as well as a narrative for the player to explore or ignore as they please. Instead, the StrangerVille aspiration must be chosen to begin the story. Completing the aspiration goals takes you through the StrangerVille story, which involves scientists, military, conspiracy theorists, mysterious plants and a secret lab. A new military career and Sims radio channel is introduced.[3][4]
