Ulysses (US: /juːˈlɪsiːz/, UK: /ˈjuːlɪsiːz/; Latin: Ulyssēs, Ulixēs) is the Latinized version of Odysseus. The name was made famous by the American Civil War hero and eighteenth president of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant,[3] by James Joyce's novel Ulysses, and the film of the same name.
