Marsden State School is a public primary school for students between the years of prep to year 7. The school is located on Hickory St. in Marsden, Logan City, Queensland. The school was established in 1978 and, as of 2012, had 1,006 students.[1] The motto of the school is "Merit is Ours" and the school's colours are green and gold.

History

The school was established in 1978.

In 2010, development began for a multimillion-dollar hall, which took over a year to build.

In July 2012,[2] the school was awarded "school of the week", when it was visited by John Schluter, weatherman of Channel 7 News, and an "animated sign" saying MSS, the school's initials, welcomed him in the Channel 7 helicopter. The sign was featured on 7News.[3]
