Oleksii Anatoliyovych Gai (sometimes transliterated Hai or Gay; Template:Lang-uk; born 6 November 1982) is a Ukrainian footballer. Also he played for the Ukrainian national team since 2002.

Career

He made a political statement when in 2014 he refused to wear the "Glory to the Ukrainian Army" shirt which was imposed on all football players by the Ukraine Football Association.[1]

On 5 January 2015, Gai signed an 18-month contract with Azerbaijan Premier League side Gabala FK.[2]

On 5 August 2016, Gai signed a two-year contract with Russian National League side Kuban Krasnodar.[3]
