The 2008–09 Hartford Hawks men's basketball team represented the University of Hartford during the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was coached by third year coach Dan Leibovitz. Hartford had a core group of players returning from the previous season but could not replicate the same success. The non-conference schedule included a matchup with final four participant UConn.
