The Gallinipper was a schooner that sank in Lake Michigan off the coast of Centerville, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, USA. In 2010, the shipwreck site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.[1]

History

Originally named the Nancy Dousman, the ship was built in 1833.[2] By 1846, the Dousman had already sunk once and had been raised and re-built in a larger size, as well as given its new name. In 1851, the ship sank again due to a gale.[3][4]
