My Father’s Dragon is an upcoming American-Irish 2D-animated adventure film produced by Cartoon Saloon and written by Meg LeFauve and John Morgan and directed by Nora Twomey, based on the children's novel of the same name.

Plot

Run-away Elmer Elevator searches for a captive dragon on Wild Island and finds much more than he could ever have anticipated.

Production

On November 6, 2018, Netflix announced an adaptation of My Father's Dragon, with Nora Twomey directing from a script Meg LeFauve wrote from a story by LeFauve and John Morgan, who are producing the film along with Tomm Moore, Bonnie Curtis, Paul Young, Julie Lynn, Alan Moloney, Ruth Coady, and Gerry Shirren.[1]

Release

On November 6, 2018, Netflix announced that the film will be released in 2021.[1]
