This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Stavats (talk | contribs) at 09:25, 27 June 2020 (Raga Komal Rishabh Asavari uses the intervals of the Phrygian scale, i.e. those of the Bhairavi thaat. The Asavari thaat and raga Shuddha Rishabh Asavari (or simply Asavari) both have a Shuddha Madhyama in them, so although they are related, Komal Rishabh Asavari is not part of the Asavari thaat. It is similar to how not all ragas with "Todi" in their name belong to the Todi thaat.). Komal Rishabh Asavari (IAST: Komal Riṣabh Āsāvari), often simply called Asavari, is a raga in Hindustani classical music. As its name suggests, it differs from the raga Shuddh Rishabh Asavari by using a komal ("flat") re () while Asavari uses a shuddha (natural) re (R). It is believed that Komal Rishabh Asavari was the original form of Asavari.[2]
