Mikhail Chigorin wins the 3rd All-Russian Championship in Kiev, ahead of Ossip Bernstein.
Chigorin (Russia) also wins the Vienna tournament, ahead of Frank Marshall (United States), Georg Marco (Romania), and Pillsbury. All games in this gambit tournament begin with the King's Gambit.^[1]
