Avinesh Rekhi is an Indian television actor well known for portraying the role of Sultan Kundra in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Uma Shankar in Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji . Since 2019, he is currently playing The Role of Sarabjit Singh Gill In Choti Sarrdaarni.

Career

Rekhi's career began when he appeared in the 2008 film Ru Ba Ru. In 2012, he debuted into Hindi television industry with Colors TV's Chhal — Sheh Aur Maat where he acted as Kabir Jaiswal alongside Hunar Hali and Abhishek Malik.[1] His next roles were of antagonistic Sultan Kundra in Colors TV's Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and parallel lead Neeraj Sachdeva in Sony Entertainment Television's Main Naa Bhoolungi. In 2015, Rekhi played Mughal emperor Akbar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.[2]

In 2016, he was seen as Akash in &TV's Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. From 2017 to 2018, he portrayed Uma Shankar Toshniwal opposite Rhea Sharma in Star Plus' Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji.[3] Since July 2019, Rekhi is playing Sarabjit Gill in Colors TV's Choti Sarrdaarni opposite Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.

Personal life

Rekhi married his girlfriend of eight years, Raisa, on 29 December 2010.[4] They have two children, a son and a daughter.[5][6]
