Milena Mayorga is a Salvadorian model and beauty pageant contestant who represented El Salvador in Miss Universe 1996, where she finished as third-runner up (4th place).

Biography

Born in San Salvador, her father was a doctor and her mother originated from Venezuela. After graduating from high school, Mayorga became a model for Willie Maldonado in the longest-running TV program in El Salvador, Fin de Semana.[1] In the 1996 Miss Universe, Mayorga reached the top 10; making it El Salvador’s 2nd consecutive top 10 placement at the Miss Universe (Eleonora Carrillo made the top 10 in 1995).

After Miss Universe, Mayorga went on to be a news presenter for Teledos, in the Telecorporación SalvadoreñaTelecorporacion Salvadorena, and under this umbrella are channel 2,4 and 6. from 1999 to 2005. In June 2005, Mayorga joined rival channel Canal 12 and became part of a new group of presenters in El Salvador’s longest running morning show, Hola El Salvador.[2] In 2011, Mayorga became conductor of her own talk show, Milena tu amiga, in Canal 12.[3]

Mayorga is married and has two children.
