Bibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay (24 October 1894 – 29 July 1987)[1] was an Indian Bengali language author.
Bibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay was born on 24 October 1894 in Pandoul, a village of the Mithila region of British India.[citation needed]
He received the Ananda Puraskar award in 1958, the Rabindra Puraskar in 1972 and the Sharatchandra Puraskar in 1978. He was also awarded the Jagattarini Puraskar from Calcutta University, a D.Litt. degree from the University of Burdwan and Desikottama from the Visva-Bharati University of Shantiniketan.[citation needed]
Mukhopadhyay died on 29 July 1987 in Darbhanga at the age of 93, He never married.[citation needed]
