Nomadland is an upcoming American drama film, written and directed by Chloé Zhao. It stars Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May and Charlene Swankie.
The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 11, 2020.

Production
In February 2019, it was announced Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May and Charlene Swankie had joined the cast of the film, with Chloé Zhao directing from a screenplay she wrote based on the book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder. Peter Spears, Mollye Asher, Dan Janvey and Zhao will produce the film, while Searchlight Pictures will distribute.[2][3]
Release
The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2020.[4] It will also screen at the New York Film Festival.[5]
