Zanthoxylum armatum, also called winged prickly ash,[2] is a species of plant in the family Rutaceae. It is an aromatic, deciduous, spiny shrub growing to 3.5 meters in height, endemic to Nepal (where it is called timur), China, Japan, Korea, Northeast India, and Pakistan.
