Woman yelling at a cat is an Internet meme format featuring a screen capture of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members Taylor Armstrong and Kyle Richards followed by a picture of a cat sitting at a dinner table.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Reception

The Daily Dot described it as one of the best memes of 2019,[13] while Evening Standard described it as one of the best memes of the decade.[14]

Impact

On October 2019, one person turned the meme into their Halloween costume and cosplay.[15][16] Several people in Tiktok used the image of Smudge the cat and turned into a star and is the most popular feline since the Grumpy Cat.[6] the meme was also compared to other movies.[17] The meme was inspired on the video game The Sims 4 and gets immortalized.[18] an NFL player Stefon Diggs features ‘woman yelling at cat’ meme on his cleats during the interview.[19] Library and Archives Canada used the meme in a Facebook post explaining why its employees sometimes handle rare books bare-handed.[20]
