Farm to Market Road 565 (FM 565) is a farm-to-market road in the U.S. state of Texas.

Route description

The road starts at State Highway 146 (SH 146) in Baytown and travels east. It intersects FM 1405 and SH 99 Toll near the Royal Purple Raceway. Next, it intersects FM 2354 and FM 3180. In Cove, it intersects FM 3246 and Interstate 10 (I-10). In Old River-Winfree, it intersects FM 1409, and in Mont Belvieu, it intersects Loop 207 and ends at State Highway 146.

History

When it was created on July 9, 1945, it was only 2.0 miles (3.2 km) long from Mont Belvieu to Old River-Winfree. On November 23, 1948, it was extended from Old River-Winfree through Cove to Baytown at SH 146. FM 565's northern terminus was expanded from Loop 207 to State Highway 146 in Mont Belvieu in 2019.[1]
