John Peel (priest)
The Very Rev John Peel, DD, MA (b. Bury 22 August 1798, d. Kidderminster 20 February 1875)[1] was Dean of Worcester from 1845[2] until his death.[3]
The eighth child and fourth son of Sir Robert Peel, 1st Baronet[4] he was educated at Christ Church, Oxford.[5] He held the living at Stone, Worcestershire from 1828;[6] and in the same year was appointed a Prebendary of Canterbury Cathedral.[7]
