Dolní Újezd is a municipality and village in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,000 inhabitants.
Dolní Újezd lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of Svitavy, 42 km (26 mi) south-east of Pardubice, and 135 km (84 mi) east of Prague.
Paleontology
In 1960, a fragment of jaw bone of a small-sized Cretaceous marine reptile (mosasaur) was found here.[2]
