Sedwa is a Tehsil and block of Barmer district in Rajasthan, northern India.
Sedwa is a Town in south western barmer district it is tehsil and Subdivisional Magistrate also it was colonized by approximate 200 years ago by cattelers sindhi Muslim (Darsh) with tribal BHEEL community came from west in search of water for cattle so they found a very old well near big tree of NEEM and found water The name sedwa was taken from porcupine in sindhi it is called sehda . Most of its economy is dependent on farming mainly the spice cumin is produced in tonnes
