Kamenice nad Lipou (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkamɛɲɪtsɛ ˈnad lɪpou]) (German: Kamnitz an der Linde) is a town situated in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,800 inhabitants.

Sights

Its most important sight is a castle. It took part of its name after an ancient lime tree that still grows in the garden adjacent to the castle ("nad lipou" means "above a lime tree"). The tree is believed to be 700–900 years old.

A famous Jindřichův Hradec–Obrataň narrow gauge railway runs through the town.
