Bhoranj is a tehsil in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India.[1]

The local language of the Bhoranj tehsil is a dialect of Himachali Pahari (pahāṛī is Hindi for “of the mountains”).[2] Hindi and English are both officially recognized as local languages as well.[citation needed]

The average temperature in the summer is between 15 and 31 °C. During the winter, temperatures can drop as low as 2 °C in the winter and go as high as 38 °C in the summer. Monsoon season starts in July. By October, nights and mornings are very cold. Snowfall at elevations of nearly 3000 m is about 3 m and persists from early December to late March. At about 4500 m the snow lasts year round. [citation needed]

There are no railway connections to this town, but one line from Una to Hamirpur has been proposed. The nearest broad gauge railway station is the Una Railway station.
- By road
Bhoranj is connected to all the towns of Himachal Pradesh and other states. Estimated travel time to drive from New Delhi to Bhoranj is about 9 hours via the fastest NH44 route.
- By air
The nearest domestic airport is in Kangra and the nearest international airport is in Chandigarh.
Education
The Government Degree College, Gautam group of Colleges, Carrier Point University, and the SVN PG College are the educational institutions nearest to Bhoranj. There are many state and private secondary schools as well. The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is about 25 km from Bhoranj, Tikkari Minhansa. [citation needed]
