Soumya Sadanandan is a Director in the Malayalam film industry.[1][2][3] She has also acted in several Malayam Movies. She was well known as an anchor of a film based show in Kappa TV, called 'Film Lounge' which was broadcast for 4 years from 2013–2017. She is working on her directorial debut - a Malayalam movie under the banner UGM Production starring Kunchacko Boban and Nimisha Sajayan.[4]
Early life
Born at Sooranad, Kollam District in Kerala, Soumya was brought up at Thiruvananthapuram. She completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and secured a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from College Of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram , Kerala. She worked with Aditya Birla Minacs, Bengaluru for four years before making a big career switch to join the Film Industry in 2010.
