Preminchu Pelladu (transl. First Love then Marriage) is a 1985 Telugu-language comedy film produced by Ramoji Rao under the Usha Kiran Movies banner[2] and directed by Vamsy.[3] It stars Rajendra Prasad and Bhanupriya, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[4] The film is the debut of Rajendra Prasad as a hero.[5]
Plot
Kurmavataram (Satyanarayana) is head of an orthodox Brahmin family who gives first preference to his traditions, customs, and beliefs. He has 3 daughters Urmila (Dubbing Janaki), Subhadra (Kakinada Shyamala), Rukmini (Anitha) & a son Raghava Rao (Suthi Veerabhadra Rao). Kurmavataram's third daughter Rukmini loves & marries a Christian due to which she has been ostracized by the family. After 20 years, when Kurmavataram is in a serious condition, Radha (Bhanupriya) a beautiful girl is appointed as a nurse to take care of him who is none other than the daughter of Rukmini. Radha starts serving her grandfather by staying in his house without giving her identity. Rambabu (Rajendra Prasad) grandson of Kurmavataram starts loving Radha. Parallelly, Rambabu's maternal uncle Hanumantha Rao (Rallapalli) plans to make his daughter Saraswathi's (Tulasi) marriage with Rambabu but she is already in love with a young guy Babji (Subhalekha Sudhakar). After some comic incidents, Rambabu learns that Radha's reality. Rest of the story is how Rambabu & Radha teach a lesson to Kurmavataram and makes him realize his mistake.
