Shaghik (Armenian: Շաղիկ; Azerbaijani: Qarabulaq; formerly Karabulag) is a village in the Shirak Province of Armenia. The village had an Azerbaijani-majority population prior to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, with 293 Azerbaijanis living in the village prior to their expulsion.[1]

Population

According to "Caucasian Calendar" of 1912, 373 people, mainly Azerbaijanis shown in the calendar as Karapapaks, lived in village Karabulag of Kars Okrug of Kars Oblast.[2]
