The Siglit are group of Inuit residing in the delta of the Mackenzie River. They are a part of the Inuvialuit, a group also including the Uummarmiut and the Copper Inuit. They speak Siglitun, a severely-endangered dialect of Inuvialuktun.

The Siglit mainly live in Paulatuk, Tuktoyaktuk, both on the mainland, and Sachs Harbour on Banks Island.[1]

There are (possibly) 8 tribes/groups within the Siglit:

  • Qikiqtaryungmiut
  • Kuukpangmiut
  • Kitigaaryungmiut
  • Nuvugarmiut
  • Avvarmiut
  • Imaryungmiut
  • Igluyuaryungmiut
  • Kragmalit
