Adv. A. Jayashankar is a lawyer and a media critic from Kerala, India. Earlier he had written many articles in the daily newspaper Madhyamam under a pen name 'Rajeshwari' which became popular. He became very famous through his weekly program in a malayalam TV news channel Indiavision, called 'Varanthyam'. This program attracted many viewers in Kerala. He is also famous for his political analysis in various malayalam TV news channels. He is noted for his indepth knowledge in history and politics, for his style of narrating topics wrapped in humor and also for his presentation of facts without fear. He is also the general secretary of Indian Association of Lawyers.

Personal life

By profession he is a lawyer. At the age of 51, he married Dr. Jaya in February, 2014.

Attack on the office

On 27 October 2013, a group of Youth Congress workers marched to his office in Aluva in protest to his comment against chief minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy and attacked his office.
