Abolfazl Attar started learning filmmaking from Dariush Arjmand, in early 1980s.He was an active member of the Iranian Young Cinema Society,[2] in decade 1980s.In 1989, after one year of effort at Iranian Young Cinema Society,
he succeeded to change the usual format of 8 mm films, into the 16 mm and 35 mm film-format, by making his 16 mm film titled “A Window To The Alley”.The first film Iranian Young Cinema Society produced which had won many internationals awards,
was named “TO THE DUST AGAIN” Directed by Mahdi Bemani Naeini, which Abolfazl Attar had written its scripts. For the first time in Iran, in 1997, in the internal bulletin of Khorasan Script writers Association, he suggested the registration and patent of scripts in cinema; which later on this idea was widely implemented in Iranian Center for Script Writers and The Iranian Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds (House of Cinema).[3] In 2007 he conducted a research project to revise and improve the legal rights of authors and intellectual property owners, and presented it to the Iranian authorities.
