On 20 October 2021, the Ethiopian Air Force conducted an airstrike on the small town of Agbe (Tanqua Millash district) in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia during the Tigray War. [1]

Attack

The airstrike struck a heavy artillery depot that would have developed in Agbe after the Ethiopian army left the area in June 2020, according to the Ethiopian government.[1] Jointly with the 2021 Mekelle air strikes these bombardments took place in the very time that the ENDF (Ethiopian army) were under pressure of the Tigray Defence Forces in the Dessie area.

Reactions

They [the Ethiopian army]] are desperate on the war front. My interpretation is they are bombing us because they are losing on the ground and it’s their reprisal. The fact that they are bombing shows they don’t care about Tigrayan civilians.
