Aghvorik (Armenian: Աղվորիկ; formerly, Yeni-Yël, Yeniyol, and Karanamaz, Azerbaijani: Qaranamaz) is a village and rural community (municipality) in the Shirak Province of Armenia. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population was 118 in 2010,[1] up from 90 at the 2001 census.[2]

Population

According to "Caucasian Calendar" of 1912, 492 people, mainly Azerbaijanis shown in the calendar as «Karapapaks», lived in village Karanamaz of Kars Okrug of Kars Oblast.[3]
