The Akatsi North District is one of the 25 districts in the Volta Region of Ghana. Its capital and administrative centre is Ave Dakpa.

History

The Akatsi North District was created out of the former Akatsi District and was formally inaugurated on 28 June 2012 by then president John Atta Mills. The rest of the old Akatsi District continues as the Akatsi South District.[2]
