Manuel Alejandro Vela Garrido (born 28 March 1984 in Cancún, Quintana Roo) is a Mexican footballer who is currently playing for Venados of the Ascenso MX on loan from Cruz Azul.

He made his debut on 14 August 2004, for Chivas against Atlante.[3]

His younger brother, Carlos Vela, is a professional footballer currently playing in United States (MLS) for Los Angeles FC
