The Alicyclobacillaceae are a family of Gram-positive bacteria. They are extremophiles with certain strains living at around 70°C and a pH of 1.5–5.5.[1] Endospores are formed.[1] The family contains three genera: Alicyclobacillus, Kyrpidia, and Tumebacillus.[2]
