Annaram is a village in Jinnaram Mandal in Medak district in Telangana State in India. It is 33 km distance from Hyderabad, the sixth largest city of India.[1] It is also home to Indian Air Force's, Air force academy, the training center which holds passing out parade and training of commissioned officers.

Economy

Its economy mainly depends on primary sectors of agriculture, cattle. It has Schneider Electric manufacturing industry,[2] an Iron and Steel industry, a Makson factory,[3] warehouses, cycle assembling units and a few small-scale industries.[4] It has a significant earning from service sector as well. It has a Mall, Resort,[5] a few restaurants, One Heritage Parlours, and many other facilities. It has an APGVB branch,[6] their ATMs and ATMs of ICICI Bank. And Also Meeseva Running by Sampath Communication near opp AFA Main Gate. Recently Railway has opened Railway Reservation counter in AFA Main Gate.

Demographics

This village has a varying population, with settlers form Gujrat, Rajasthan and mainly the Telugu population. Most spoken language is Telugu. With an Airbase, and two townships Prakruthi Nivas[7] and Venkata Enclave; it has residents from high end earning professions and from all over India.

Infrastructure

It is nearby two Kendriya Vidyalayas (Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 AFA, Dundigal), Eurokids; Playpen playschools and has a Government run School. It is well connected with the city of Hyderabad with Narsapur Road, a 4 laned State highway.[8] It has three bus stops of TGSRTC and is nearby Outer Ring Road.

Politics

Annaram has Panchayati raj (primary level) form of government. In elections held on 27 July 2013, Makam Tirumalavasu, of the state party Telugu Desam Party (now he has moved to TRS Party) was elected as President / SarPanch with 14 ward members.
