Anthony Réveillère (French pronunciation: [ɑ̃.tɔ.ni ʁe.vɛ.jɛʁ]; born 10 November 1979) is a French footballer. A pure product of the Rennes youth academy with whom he débuted professionally, he plays as an attacking right-back with Olympique Lyonnais and France national team. He is known for his speed and ability to play offensively if the team style allows it. He can play on both the left and right sides and is technically sound.

Career

Réveillère made his Ligue 1 debut on 3 February 1998 playing for Rennes. After spending six years with Rennes, he made a winter move to the Spanish side Valencia CF. After half a season there, Réveillère made the move back to his birth country signing with then first-time champions Olympique Lyonnais. After his signing, Lyon won 5 straight Ligue 1 titles.

To those not following the Olympique Lyonnais, Réveillère's claim to European fame, rather than many of his great performances in the Champions' League including a fantastic assist to Sylvain Wiltord in his club's 3–0 defeat of the Real Madrid in 2005, is his duel with A.S. Roma's Mancini, who performed six step-overs before blasting past the bewildered defender to double Roma's advantage during the UEFA Champions League last 16 round against the French Champions. The eventual 2–0 victory for Roma was Lyon's first defeat at home in the Champions League for five years.

International career

He has eighteen caps with the France national team. His first selection was on 11 October 2003 for a game against Israel. He was picked for France's final World Cup 2010 squad.
