Arash Labaf (born 23 April 1977 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian singer, dancer and entertainer and producer residing in Malmö, Sweden.
He grew up in the Iranian capital of Tehran and at the age of 10, his family moved to Uppsala, Sweden before moving to Malmö five years later. His debut album, Arash, was released in June 2005, after he had finished college. His singles, Boro Boro (Go Away) and Temptation (featuring Rebecca Zadig) made it to the hit lists around Europe. He has also released a Russian song; Восточные Сказки (featuring Blestyashchie) a Russian version of Temptation, in which he sings in Russian.
He's been top of the charts in Poland, Serbia, Hungary, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Sweden, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic. He has gone gold in 5 countries: Germany, Russia, Slovenia and Greece for his album, Arash, and in Sweden for Boro Boro.[citation needed]
Arash appeared in DJ Aligator's (also of Persian origin) "Music is My Language" as the song's Persian-language vocalist.
In his 2006 album (Crossfade), Arash, DJ Aligator and Shahkar Bineshpajoo made a song for the Iranian Football team for their appearance in the 2006 World Cup.
In the albums Arash Arash and Boro Boro the music was done by DJ Aligator. But in his most recent album Crossfade the music was done by DJ Starscream.
Arash is managed by former Warner Music A&R agent Henrik Uhlman and is represented in the United States by Mayar Zokaei.
