Arpan Thapa (Nepali: अर्पण थापा) (born November 15, 1979).[2][3] is a Nepali actor, director, and scriptwriter. Thapa began his acting career with the Nepali film Sick City, Where he got a chance to play in the lead role as Krishna.[4] Similarly, He has directed the movie Mukhauta in 2014, which was released on 13 June 2014.[5] He studied acting in Mumbai in 2002 before the start of his career.[6]

After the completion of his acting courses in Mumbai, Thapa returned to Nepal to start his career in the Nepali film industry. He sold CDs at Mahabouddha, to promote the business of a friend, which was where he had the opportunity to meet Murray Kerr, the director of his debut movie.

Thapa cites Daniel Day-Lewis as his inspiration[6] and has expressed respect for other Nepalese actors, including Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha.[7]

He recently directed a horror film Sunkesari. It is set to be released in mid 2018.[22]
