Asukh, pronounced Ashukh is a 1999 Indian Bengali feature film directed by Rituparno Ghosh.

Plot

The film is about the schism between a film star daughter, Rohini (Debashree Roy) and her father Sudhamoy (Soumitra Chatterjee), who is unwilling but forced to depend on his daughter's earnings. The narrative revolves around the sudden illness of Rohini's mother (Gouri Ghosh) who has to be hospitalized. No one knows what she is suffering from. The physical illness sets off a chain of events in Rohini's life that includes her relationship with her father.
